ABOUT US
At the Centre 4 Restorative Practices, we are passionate about improving harmony within communities. As a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, our mission is to collaborate with schools, organisations, and workplaces to integrate Restorative Practices into their daily operations. We are committed to fostering cultural synergy and developing safe, inclusive environments where every individual feels valued and respected.
Our journey began with the Centre for Restorative Justice, which has provided Restorative services to South Australian and broader Australian communities for over 30 years. Building on this legacy, we recognised the need to extend the principles of Restorative Justice beyond its traditional framework, and thus, the Centre 4 Restorative Practices was born.
WHAT IS RESTORATIVE PRACTICE?
So, what is Restorative Practice? While Restorative Justice focuses on repairing harm and restoring relationships after harm has already occurred, Restorative Practices take a proactive approach. By nurturing strong community relationships, these practices equip individuals and groups with tools to navigate challenges and conflicts with empathy, accountability, and mutual respect.
Our work centres on empowering communities to prioritise listening and understanding, creating spaces where voices are heard, and differences are bridged. With Restorative Practices, we aim to build resilience, foster collaboration, and lay the foundation for long-term harmony.

Her commitment and expertise ensure that every participant receives a meaningful and impactful learning experience.

Advocacy, fairness, and cultural competence are inherent in Amanda's personal and professional life.
As a Registered Nurse, she supports individuals navigating vulnerable life situations, often facing internal and external conflicts. Her commitment to empowering individuals toward positive outcomes seamlessly aligns with her role at the Centre 4 Restorative Practices, where she helps schools, workplaces, and organisations cultivate their unique community culture, through embedding Restorative Practices.

The completion of her postgraduate studies paved the way for Amanda to balance clinical nursing, with adult education, where she worked for almost a decade as a casual academic and facilitator within undergraduate Nursing programs at Flinders University. Her dedication to education, combined with a compassionate approach to nurturing the learning journeys of others, is evident in her delivery of Restorative Practice training.
